Name change time! Kōrī will now be called Kori, for pronunciation reasons, and Ijōna will now be called Ijōna: Abnormal. New character profiles will be made too, but that's when I get my Mac up and running again. I do have a 2TB external HDD now though, so I could get art software for my Win10 computer. But it's a bit broken at the minute -_-' I don't think I'll be releasing anymore extracts, since it's too far into the story to be teased now, however, I will say that the reason for the LN's name change, is due to me currently whizzing up more book ideas, possibly leading to more books in the Ijōna series :D. Sadly, I doubt it'll be soon that I get this stuff released. I'd have to move from the Isle of Man to England, and possibly to Japan after a few years there. The ranobe won't be finished until at least one trip to Japan, as I need to study their culture and environment up close. This hurts me deeply- OH FLOOP! I just got an amazing idea. One of the books in the series is actually going to be based in the Isle of Man. Of course, it's going to be related to Japan somewhat, but it'll only require a tiddly bit of knowledge in the Japanese culture. So extracts from that may be happening soon. But maybe not since Abnormal is the base for the Ijōna series. I shall give you the name though!

So, I was browsing 9gag, as you do. However, I couldn't help but notice a particular comment. Now, with love being something I have studied for a long time, I decided "I must participate in these comments!" So, that is what I did. Until I got 12 year old Jimmy, deciding that he is high and mighty, and wanted to go against my awesome self, who cannot be arrogant because of that. It's long... You might laugh, you might cry, you will probably get bored halfway through. But whatever. Enjoy (or something like that...):
PS, I am called mister_holmes...

cosmin1999 in love or having a crush?

cosmin1999 · 5 points · 2d
matafaka_ for me it's the same thing

matafaka_ProOP · 5 points · 2d
cosmin1999 but it's not :(

ioanacmr · 3 points · 1d
matafaka_ What's the difference ?

mister_holmes · 5 points · 1d
cosmin1999 I'm afraid there is a massive difference between being in love and having a crush. Love takes a lot of time and interacting with a crush. Between those two, there is infatuation (commonly mistaken for love), which is rather dangerous at times... Anyway, learn to realise the differences, because saying "I love you" to a crush will be very heavy handed

matafaka_ProOP · 1 point · 1d
mister_holmes to be fair, teenagers always confuse a crush and love

mister_holmes · 1d
matafaka_ Indeed. Likely due to a lot of movies/tv shows/anime/etc. have the protagonist exclaiming their "love" to the girl/guy, and then they live happily ever after. It somewhat corrupts what they think love is. Being only 16 myself, I have witnessed this far too much, and have also confused the two feelings. Hopefully they will grow out of this kind of stuff.

matafaka_ProOP · 1 point · 1d

mister_holmes they will when they actually fall in love one day.

peter_boch · 1d
matafaka_ being in love and having a crush is the same thing, the diferent one is loving that person. Your mother tongue isn't english is it

 matafaka_ProOP · 1d
peter_boch it's not the same thing. And no my mother tongue isn't english but i know the difference between love and crush

peter_boch · 1d
matafaka_ I'm not going to discuss any further since you obviously didnt pay attention to what I wrote

matafaka_ProOP · 1d

peter_boch i did pay attention

ioanacmr · 7h
mister_holmes Thanks for the explanation, don't worry,I'm not a Ted Mosby

mister_holmes · 3h
peter_boch It's not that you don't want to to discuss it further because she apparently "didn't pay attention", because it's so clear that even a disrespectful imbecile like you should be able to realise it. Instead, I suspect that you have noticed your errors and instead are whimpering out of the situation, so that you can't get told that you are wrong once more. If you even have the bollocks to reply to this, then I dare you to explain to me your reasoning behind thinking that "love and a crush are the same thing".

peter_boch · 2h
mister_holmes I don't care what it seems to you, quite frankly.. I mean how self important do you have to be to think that your opinion is so valuable to a stranger in the internet.

But, since I'm a nice guy I'll go into detail

Read what I said and read her reply. She clearly doesn't give a crap about what I'm saying. She read it but didn't process it. When this happens in an argument you know the person you are arguing with is not worth your time. They aren't open to anything they will ignore anything you have to say even if it shows you that you are wrong and just keep repeating themselves. I mean this girls doesn't understand that languages are different in this sense. My mother tongue isn't english as well and I know exactly where she is coming from but I don't go around educating others on things that I'm no expert of. That's the real absurdity.

Do I have to make it more simple to you two?

You don't teach others what you don't know. It's arrogant, even if she was right.

peter_boch · 2h
not just arrogant but plain moronic I must add. And the fact that someone comes after me instead of her is a red flag to the current situation where people have no respect for an honest discourse/debate/discussion in all kinds of matters

peter_boch · 2h
"for me it's the same thing" (probably said by a native english speaker)

" it's not the same thing. " (our idiot's reply after she asked if it was the same thing"

Then she comments this obnoxious and cringeworthy giff as if obviously she was correct when, I repeat, it's not her mother tongue.

"And no my mother tongue isn't english but i know the difference between love and crush" She says to me. She didn't pay attention I said there is a difference between being IN love and loving someone and she just ignores it.

Don't you cringe when you read this? I mean it's embarrassing. Why would you defend her, are you so desperate for women's attention that you have to cater to morons? You must be some sort of male feminist... frustrated with their failure with the opposite sex so you're the "different guy, the good guy".
Am I right or am I right?

mister_holmes · 1h
peter_boch " I mean how self important do you have to be to think that your opinion is so valuable to a stranger in the internet." Not like you were giving your opinion or anything... (That's sarcasm, by the way.) "She clearly doesn't give a crap about what I'm saying." Well, you sure seem to value your opinion greatly, if you believe that your opinion is valuable enough to be cared about by "a stranger on the internet". "I mean this girls doesn't understand that languages are different in this sense." Irrelevant. " My mother tongue isn't english as well and I know exactly where she is coming from but I don't go around educating others on things that I'm no expert of." That may be true, however, that doesn't matter since she is correct. It isn't a matter of opinion, she IS correct. It's not something you can argue against. Being in love and having a crush are completely different.

mister_holmes · 1h
peter_boch You yourself state that your mother-tongue isn't English. So you could easily be making a mistake yourself. Yet here you are going around "educating others on things" you're "no expert of". "You don't teach others what you don't know. It's arrogant, even if she was right." Do you realise how much you contradict yourself in that last sentence? "Even if she was right." That means that she DOES KNOW. Therefore SHE DOES HAVE A RIGHT. " And the fact that someone comes after me instead of her is a red flag to the current situation where people have no respect for an honest discourse/debate/discussion in all kinds of matters" I'm merely adding to the argument. Thus trying to help clear out the errors of either statements. That IS what arguments are for. You should know that.

peter_boch · 1h
mister_holmes I'm not a native english speaker but I went to an english speaking school, have friends with whom I speak english and live in a multicultural environment. One of my hobbies is watching american political news/discussions, educational videos of all kinds including relationships (made by people from the us too) and american comedy/entertainment videos. Do you see the difference? If you're so sure they are "completely different things" show me any work made by an english native speaker where the two terms are used in a different context.

The other thing is I myself had a hard time understanding that in english they mean the same thing.

Just ask anyone who speaks english as a mother tongue, or, ask them to describe what a crush feels like and you'll see for yourself

mister_holmes · 1h
peter_boch Then ask them to describe love. Yes, maybe if they're below the age of seventeen or so, or have never been in love, they might say that they're in love with their crush. However that is not true. Let me go through in detail these differences: A crush - the feeling of greater liking towards another person. (Sounds like love, doesn't it? Let's prod more into it.) However, crushes are commonly BEFORE a relationship. A crush is also a really short form of infatuation - something very commonly mistaken for love. However, crush-wise infatuation doesn't last too long - as stated - either turning into love after the formation of a relationship, or not turning into anything. Now, let us have a look at infatuation: infatuation is an extreme admiration and passion for someone that lasts around a year or two. Infatuation is common at the start of a relationship, either causing progress, or ruining the relationship. Next on the list is love: Love:

mister_holmes · 1h
mister_holmes Love, much like infatuation is an intense feeling towards someone. However, love is gentler, and happens during an intimate (doesn't have to be sexual) relationship. Instead of passion, it sways in the direction of passion, and gives the person a feeling of well-being. Though this may differentiate between each person, everyone who has experienced love realises that crushes and infatuation didn't feel like this. When in love, you don't worry about stuff like "What if they don't like me back?", because you KNOW they do.

Younger people also mistake liking a person of their sexual attraction in a friendly way to be a crush. Until finally, they do have a real crush. Though, this is a different topic to discuss elsewhere.

mister_holmes · 1h
peter_boch Wow. Now you're bringing my gender into this. Just because I am a male defending a female doesn't mean I want to grasper her attention. You're ignorant assumptions sum up that you are desperately trying to fight back. I wouldn't be surprised if you were a trump supporter. I didn't even think once about genders. For all I know, this woman could be a fat old man, sitting behind the computer desk. I'm not as gullible as to fall for stuff like that. "Then she comments this obnoxious and cringeworthy giff as if obviously she was correct when, I repeat, it's not her mother tongue." What if I were to tell you, you can be correct in a different language, even if it's not your mother tongue? That's practically making all of what you're saying redundant. After all, you admitted to not being native English yourself. " I'm not a native english speaker but I went to an english speaking school," She may have also been to an English speaking school.

peter_boch · 56m
mister_holmes PS: work on your sense of humour you obviously don't have one I'm guessing you're german.

mister_holmes · 50m
peter_boch You seem to be racist too.

"I said there is a difference between being IN love and loving someone" What? The only difference between them is the way it is phrased. Unless you are talking about the sexual act of "loving someone", but why would you, it's completely irrelevant.

If you truly don't care about what I think about you, or any of this, then I advise that you stop replying, after all, that's just showing that you do care.

peter_boch · 44m
mister_holmes Excuse me? RACIST?? what the actual fuck? explain maybe? you think you can just accuse me of RACISM? woah we're dealing with a special kind of moron aren't we?

"You seem to be racist too." What is this joke of a sentence supposed to mean? What makes me "seem" racist? are you completely insane?

mister_holmes · 40m
peter_boch No, you just don't have the capabilities to tell jokes. And actually, you're close. I'm an atheist vegan German engineer crossfitter, who thinks you should join the Jehovah's Witnesses, so you can see the light of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

mister_holmes · 36m
peter_boch Yes, racist. Or is that word too much for you to grasp? You believe that because someone is not natively English, they cannot understand the differences between love and a crush. Which is rather judgementally racist, in my opinion. But oops, you do not care about my opinion! How silly of me!

peter_boch · 35m
mister_holmes oh now I get it you think I'm racist because I said germans have no sense of humour...
WELL, GUESS IM A RACIST THEN LUL. NO SERIOUSLY IM TOTALLY A NEO NAZI KKK ENTHUSIAST

anyway I'm relieved you understood how silly you were being and therefore got rid of the serious tone

peter_boch · 32m
mister_holmes "You believe that because someone is not natively English, they cannot understand the differences between love and a crush. Which is rather judgementally racist, in my opinion."

So where does race factor into that? Also, if you didn't notice, im black lol do you really think I'm racist? towards what race exactly, or races? "non english native races"? I really hope you're joking.

Also you dont make sense this is a strawman. "You believe that because someone is not natively English, they cannot understand the differences between love and a crush"
Never said this. I'll say to you again, work on your reading comprehension skills it's really lacking

mister_holmes · 28m
peter_boch What? No, I said that you're racist before you called me a german. Perhaps you should've gone to Specsavers.

peter_boch · 19m
mister_holmes you're obviously a crazy individual a sane person doesn't go around calling others racist without any reason whatsoever I mean "because I don't think non native english speakers can know the difference between having a crush or being in love"? I never sad this you distorted it because you know you're full of shit (excuse the language) and obviously lost the argument, it's pathetic.

And even if I had said that, which I didn't, that would NOT make me a racist, if you think otherwise you are clearly mental.

I thought you were so sure that it didn't meant the same thing and that in fact is was quite the opposite, having a crush and being in love. So where is, I asked before and I'll ask again:

Show me the evidence, where is it used on television, for example in a different light, you gave me no answer I already showed you the evidence of my claim you just ignored your turn.. You obviously lost the argument just let it go admit you are wrong and move on (continued)

peter_boch · 15m
mister_holmes at this point I just hope you're trolling, either that or you are seriously unfortunate when it comes to the brain's abillities

mister_holmes · 11m
peter_boch Whelp. I'm too butt-hurt to reply back. So I'm just gonna stop replying. I mean, it is ever so obvious that I have completely failed. You win! I lose! Do you like that feeling, yes? The feeling of winning? All your hard work has been rewarded. Take it! You deserve it.

peter_boch · 10m
mister_holmes JESUS CHRIST IT TOOK YOU LONG. Never seen a bigger ego in my whole life, ugly thing to witness, just how self obsessed someone can be... Jesus H. Christ

You'd think he'd take the rational option, and stop there. Buuuut, no, he carries on...

peter_boch · 8m

mister_holmes I mean "Don’t argue with idiots. They’ll drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."

This quote has never been so relevant as it is now.. Jesus have mercy of this mans soul

peter_boch · 3m
mister_holmes and you couldnt even admit that you are in fact wrong you had to resort to some silly sarcasm... so sad... you are a true moron. The dumbest I've ever met. With the biggest ego... just absolutely amazing, lost the argument and just showed the ultimate level of "patheticism" a human can reach

And still replies...

peter_boch  · 2m
mister_holmes you have no decency whatsoever I much prefer someone like Donald Trump than someone like you. Even when he is a complete and utter joke, you are even worse, a level of narcissism never reached, truly part of the me-me-me generation, get outside your moms house, it's good for you

Well... If you survived this long I applaud you. Yet again... It's 00:14 right now, so I might regret all of this in the morning. But, I believe I won that. I successfully turned him crazy. And if he spies on my 9gag account and finds the comment that leads to my dA account, and he is now reading this, I wave hello. "Hello!"

I'm an open person, so some of the topics that are going to be covered are quite personal and serious, so please be wary.

FACTS:

  1. I have OCD. When I see bad grammar or spelling mistakes, it really gives me an urge to tell that person about their mistake, but a lot of people get offended by it. I'm not purposely trying to put you down, saying you are wrong, I just see it as helping you learn. But, people can't read minds. So I battle it as hard as I can, trying not to tell them their mistake...
  2. I've only recently learnt how to draw by hand. I've been able to design stuff on the computer way before I've known how to draw by hand, in fact, it hasn't even been a year since I've known how to draw by hand, and prior to that, I used a mouse to design on the computer.
  3. I have a tendency to write way more than I need to, I often end up talking about private matters. I'm not like that when writing by hand though...
  4. Sometimes when I'm speaking, I'll randomly say a Japanese word. This is probably because I'm teaching myself Japanese, so my mind can get confused on what word I need :/. Someone will thank me, and all of a sudden, I'll say "ありがとう (arigatou)". Then they'll be confused with what I said.
  5. My username, Headset Ninja, was made up after realising how stupid "Core Ninja" sounds. Previously, my username would always be "dizzygangster3", which I stole from one of my friends who was called "dizzygangster". I did this, because I didn't want my friends from a server to not recognise me, since I use to use his account. From there, a few years later, I called myself "The Core", because it sounds awesome. But I couldn't make or find a good enough profile pic for it. So, I called myself "Core Ninja". Here is how my logo evolved: And now it's the other one. But, I think I might remake that one soon. Also, this "HeadsetNinja" character, is sorta where I got my inspiration for my novel.
  6. I can lack in common sense at times. People see me as quite smart, but when it comes to common sense, I'm as daft as a brush.
  7. I love solving things. When I was in Year 6, and I was at the prom, I was nominated for "person most likely to become a detective". I wasn't happy. I wanted to be an inventor! But now I quite like the idea of being a detective. I can solve many things.
  8. I suffer from a back problem, called scoliosis. The problem itself doesn't cause pain, but for some reason, I experience excruciating amounts of pain.
  9. I also suffer from a leg problem, which the physiologist told me is that the ligaments in my legs are blocked. There's no name for it, apparently.
  10. I can't resist cute things. When I see a cute thing, I can't help but get all giddy. It is weird.
  11. I have a constant pokerface. It's rare to see any emotion on my face. I don't know why, I just don't show emotion very well. My mum has started to called me "Pokerface Corey".
  12. I live life very lightheartedly. I joke about loads of things, and this can make people offended. I don't try to offend people. But I end up doing so.
  13. I have three phobias:
      • Trypanophobia (the fear of needles/injections). Once, I tried smashing through my doctors door, trying to escape, and then when I couldn't do that, I hid under the table so they couldn't get me.
      • Acrophobia (the fear of heights). This one is rather mild, but stuff like climbing up ladders, looking out a tall building's window, really freak me out.
      • Gynophobia (the fear of women). I know right! This one is so irrational, but I can't get over it! You're probably thinking "How do you speak with your mum?" Well, I've been with my mum most of my life, and also with other females, so they don't really bother me. Plus, only when I feel that I can trust that woman, will my phobia ease down. So, I also have only a few female friends. As an actor this sucks: "Corey, you now need to drag Caitlyn, to the other side of the stage, showing that you are being aggressive." At this point, I just die inside. I can hardly talk to a woman, never mind grab one. Just a note: I do not hate women or discriminate against them. I see them as equal to men. But because of my phobia, it doesn't look like this... There is a very good reason to why I feel like this with women. A few years ago, when I was in Year 8, a girl asked me out. I didn't particularly like her, and I wanted to say no, so I told her "Wait till break". She refused, and kept bugging me, to the point that I said yes. In return, she laughed and said "Why would I want to go out with you. Now, I was somewhat hurt by that. But this isn't what caused it, oh no. (This part contains sexual content, so read along if you are mature enough to handle it.) The next day, I was sitting next to her in a different class, when suddenly she asked me out again. I said no. She kept asking me. I said no. She then continued and grabbed my crotch, asking me if I liked it. I said no. She then tried to get me to touch her's. I said no. I then put my hand up and informed the teacher that this girl was bothering me. I got moved. The girl then told me she would beat me up. And sure enough, after school she hid near my house, grabbed me, and tripped me to the ground, causing my knees to bleed. I laughed like a crazy person at her, then went to my gate and cried. During our "relationship", she would do things to me and then blame me. She would also make me do things to her. And blame it on me. Now, I can't help but feel like I'm raping a girl whenever I talk to her. It is pure bull shit, especially since I'm heterosexual. You see what I mean with the "too much information" stuff? Yeah. It's out of hand.
